Regular synchrony lattices for product coupled cell networks.

چکیده
There are several ways for constructing (bigger) networks from smaller networks. We consider here the cartesian and the Kronecker (tensor) product networks. Our main aim is to determine a relation between the lattices of synchrony subspaces for a product network and the component networks of the product. In this sense, we show how to obtain the lattice of regular synchrony subspaces for a product network from the lattices of synchrony subspaces for the component networks. Specifically, we prove that a tensor of subspaces is of synchrony for the product network if and only if the subspaces involved in the tensor are synchrony subspaces for the component networks of the product. We also show that, in general, there are (irregular) synchrony subspaces for the product network that are not described by the synchrony subspaces for the component networks, concluding that, in general, it is not possible to obtain the all synchrony lattice for the product network from the corresponding lattices for the component networks. We also make the following remark concerning the fact that the cartesian and Kronecker products, as graph operations, are quite different, implying that the associated coupled cell systems have distinct structures. Although, the kinds of dynamics expected to occur are difficult to compare, we establish an inclusion relation between the lattices of synchrony subspaces for the cartesian and Kronecker products.

Some Curious Phenomena in Coupled Cell Networks
We discuss several examples of synchronous dynamical phenomena in coupled cell networks that are unexpected from symmetry considerations, but are natural using a theory developed by Stewart, Golubitsky, and Pivato. In particular we demonstrate patterns of synchrony in networks with small numbers of cells and in lattices (and periodic arrays) of cells that cannot readily be explained by conventi...
متن کاملThe Lattice of Synchrony Subspaces of a Coupled Cell Network: Characterization and Computation Algorithm
Coupled cell systems are networks of dynamical systems (the cells), where the links between the cells are described through the network structure, the coupled cell network. Synchrony subspaces are spaces defined in terms of equalities of certain cell coordinates that are flow-invariant for all coupled cell systems associated with a given network structure. The intersection of synchrony subspace...
متن کاملCenter Manifolds of Coupled Cell Networks
Dynamical systems with a network structure can display anomalous bifurcations as a generic phenomenon. As an explanation for this it has been noted that homogeneous networks can be realized as quotient networks of so-called fundamental networks. The class of admissible vector fields for these fundamental networks is equal to the class of equivariant vector fields of the regular representation o...
متن کاملComputation of Balanced Equivalence Relations and Their Lattice for a Coupled Cell Network
A coupled cell network describes interacting (coupled) individual systems (cells). As in networks from real applications, coupled cell networks can represent inhomogeneous networks where different types of cells interact with each other in different ways, which can be represented graphically by different symbols, or abstractly by equivalence relations. Various synchronous behaviors, from full s...
متن کاملRegularity in residuated lattices
In this paper, we study residuated lattices in order to give new characterizations for dense, regular and Boolean elements in residuated lattices and investigate special residuated lattices in order to obtain new characterizations for the directly indecomposable subvariety of Stonean residuated lattices. Free algebra in varieties of Stonean residuated lattices is constructed. We introduce in re...
